Ribosomes

Ribosomes:-

    Structure:

            The structure of ribosomes is circular. It consists of one smaller unit and one larger unit. The smaller unit occurs on the larger unit. The ribosomes remain attached to the endoplasmic reticulum and form the rough endoplasmic reticulum. The ribosomes may also be found in the cytoplasm. You can see this in the picture below:

   Function:-

         The main function of ribosomes is that they are the sites of protein synthesis. Protein Synthesis is nothing but converting mRNA into Protein.
