Parts:
- Nuclear membrane
- Nucleoplasm
- Chromatin Reticulum
- Nucleolus
Nuclear Membrane:
The nuclear membrane is the outer delicate covering of the nucleus. It contains pores of different dimensions.
Nucleoplasm:
The nucleoplasm also known as nuclear sap is the protoplasmic substance of the nucleus.
Chromatin Reticulum:
Chromatin Reticulum is composed of a network with highly elongated threads.
Functions:
- It controls all metabolic processes and hereditary activities of the cell.
- The nuclear membrane allows exchange of ions between the nucleoplasm and the cytoplasm.
